We invite motivated Master’s students to participate in a critical and timely research project focused on the evolving landscape of reimbursement models for technology-supported rehabilitation interventions. As healthcare increasingly integrates innovative technologies, understanding how these interventions are funded and reimbursed is essential for widespread adoption and sustainability.

Project Overview

The student will comprehensively review existing reimbursement models for technology-supported rehabilitation interventions across various healthcare systems, including Switzerland. The goal is to identify successful strategies, gaps, and challenges in the current reimbursement landscape, providing insights that could inform policy development and improve access to these interventions. This thesis is embedded in our RehabCoach project, co-funded by Suva.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct a systematic market analysis of existing reimbursement models and policies for technology-supported rehabilitation.
• Analyze and compare different models across various countries or regions, focusing on their effectiveness, accessibility, and sustainability.
• Explore the perspectives of key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, payers, and patients, on current reimbursement practices.
• Identify potential barriers to reimbursement and propose recommendations for improving these models to support innovative rehabilitation technologies better.
• Collaborate with your thesis supervisor and the RehabCoach team to ensure a rigorous and impactful research process.
