A warm welcome to Informatics student Marinja Principe at MED-HSG

We are pleased to welcome Marinja Principe as a new student research assistant at the School of Medicine, University of St.Gallen (HSG). Marinja is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Informatics at the University of Zurich (UZH) and brings valuable experience as a software engineer at Siemens.

Marinja’s academic journey has already led to impressive achievements, including the publication of two papers with the CDHI as part of her Master’s project, which focused on exploring how digital applications in women’s health can become more inclusive and women-centered, which also led to two publications [1,2]. Her expertise in software development and research will be an asset as she continues to contribute her knowledge to the CDHI CORE on Digital Biomarkers in Metabolic Health, working alongside Lola Ackermann, Dr. Mia Jovanova, PhD, Prof. Dr. Tobias Kowatsch, and Prof. Dr. med. Michael Brändle from the Cantonal Hospital St. Gallen (KSSG).

We look forward to Marinja’s contributions in advancing the Digital Diabetes Management Score pilot project, which explores how digital health technologies can improve type-2 diabetes management in Switzerland. We are excited to have her on board and look forward to the innovative impact she will make!
